Australian government-funded statistical body with statistics on almost every aspect of Australian society, from income and property to economy and budgets.
Australian Government Treasury
The Treasury department of the Australian Federal Government. The department is involved in everything from macroeconomic policy settings to microeconomic reform, climate change to social policy, as well as tax policy and international agreements and forums. The Treasury also has a program delivery role in supporting markets and business, and providing Commonwealth payments to the State and Territory governments. Their website contains a lot of useful policy information and reports.
Australian Taxation Office (ATO)
The Australian Taxation Office is the Government’s principal revenue collection agency, and is part of the Treasurer’s portfolio. Their role is to manage and shape tax, excise and superannuation systems that fund services for Australians.
