Turnitin

This guide offers support with using Turnitin for submitting assignments and getting the most out of the Originality Report.

What is Turnitin?

Hello everyone, Turnitin is an online web-based software that is used to check the originality of assignments and the correctness of citation practices in an assignment. Once an assignment is submitted electronically through Turnitin, it will be checked against Turnitin's extensive database.

Turnitin's database consists of:

  • Internet content (over 12 billions pages!)
  • Publications (over 80,000 professional, academic and commercial!)
  • Student submissions (over 110 million!)
