NSW Law Society

The Law Society of NSW is the representative body for solicitors in NSW. The society serves solicitors and the community, and promotes the fair practice of law.

In addition to providing help with connecting the public with legal professionals, the Law Society gives information on engaging in legal practice in NSW and tools for developing a better understanding of the law for both current solicitors and those wishing to practice in NSW.

Young Lawyers

Young Lawyers

The Law Society provides a forum for young and newly practising lawyers and law students to meet, work together, expand knowledge and skills, and contribute to the profession and community. As the leader of the NSW legal profession with over 50 years of experience and expertise and 15,000 members, NSW Young Lawyers will help you through your legal education and early stages of your career development.

Giving you first-hand insight into the law profession, it is a great way to network with lawyers who are practicing in a specific area and to build your resume by showing the ability to go beyond the classroom and participate in the life of the profession. It is recommended that you sign up and get involved with a least one interest group in Young Lawyers.

Membership is FREE for all NSW lawyers under 36 years and/or in their first five years of practice, and law students.
